Greetings, just wanted to finally introduce myself, although I’ve actually been reading the boards here for about a year now. I have limited experience with electronics and moderate exposure to programming but I am an avid diy’er. I tend to be pretty stubborn about tackling any job I think I can handle myself, often at the cost of my own sanity.
I finally took the plunge recently and snagged 5 of the proffie v2s. I’m planning a KR Revan with neopixel for my first build, and already have plans to do a couple of in-hilt dueling sabers for my kids after that. I have plenty of questions already, but I’ll save that for the appropriate channels.
I was born in 81, so I was just a little guy when ROTJ came out. I always enjoyed anything Star Wars but didn’t become a true fan until college when KOTOR was released (still one of my top ten games). I’m a designer by trade, married to my high school sweetheart (also a SW fan), and we have three young kids... my son is nuts about SW and is going trick-or-treating as a Jedi this year.
That’s probably enough about me, but just wanted to let all of you know I appreciate all the hard work you put into this. I’ve already learned a lot, and look forward to learning much more.

Welcome to TRA palathos! Love seeing new people jump in and especially when they say "HELLO"!🤣
I also was born in 81 and ROTJ was the first Star Wars movie I ever saw (at about 6 when it came out later)
Sounds like an aggressive first build! Awesome, wish you all the best and don't be afraid to ask around from some of the great folks on here... almost everyone is happy to help and share their failures and help new folks learn from their (our) mistakes.
ARKM: That movie came out way before she was born. IMHO, we can't expect kids to see or even want to see movies that are from before their time.

Rogue 5: I agree. That's become true in the last 10-15 years with the difference today being is it's harder to be exposed to older movies and shows. I grew up on movies and shows that were made before I was born but that's because I had to watch whatever was on TV.

Rogue 5: In this age of streamlined media, it's harder to be exposed to older content no matter how classic it is. But you still hope certain movies like the Keaton Batman can still find a younger audience today. Kind of sad but that's the reality.
