I haven't tried it, but it was on my list of things to try on shrouds or pieces of that nature. Here is a short video on achieving the look, the audio quality is pretty bad but he breaks down the process
I don't know if it would work on aluminum, it might..
The effect is sweet but his braze unions look like crap, lol. Sorry, it won't work on aluminum, it doesn't change color when heated which is one thing that makes it tricky to weld. There are powder coats that give this look. Prizm makes one called Chameleon Violet that is very close.

ARKM: That movie came out way before she was born. IMHO, we can't expect kids to see or even want to see movies that are from before their time.

Rogue 5: I agree. That's become true in the last 10-15 years with the difference today being is it's harder to be exposed to older movies and shows. I grew up on movies and shows that were made before I was born but that's because I had to watch whatever was on TV.

Rogue 5: In this age of streamlined media, it's harder to be exposed to older content no matter how classic it is. But you still hope certain movies like the Keaton Batman can still find a younger audience today. Kind of sad but that's the reality.
