UPDATE:
Now that we have upgraded to version 5 of the Proboards forum software, we no longer have the 116 character limitation for picture URLs that show pics in a thread post. As such, you no longer have to use a workaround (like tinyurl.com) for posting pics here that contain a URL longer than 116 characters.
Also... for whatever reason tinyurl.com links no longer work with the proboards forum software when using the Firefox browser (Internet Explorer works fine). This means that any pics you have posted using a tinyurl.com link will no longer work when using Firefox. As such, you may need to edit your posts and use a normal link to the pic (whether regular or a clickable thumbnail) to make the pic viewable in the thread post.

Some of you may be experiencing problems posting some of your pics on this forum. For example, you might have posted a pic from Photobucket that you know is there but for some reason is showing up like this...

Well that's because where images are concerned, the current version of the proboards forum software only supports an http link that is no more than 116 characters long. This problem only affects posting an image or a clickable thumbnail. A direct link to any website or file can be much more than 116 characters long. Proboards does plan on fixing this in their next software release but no date for that release has been set yet.
As a workaround you can either move or rename your Photobucket albums and pictures so that the URL is shorter or better yet, you can use a 3rd party website such as tinyurl.com to generate shorter links for your pics. Tinyurl.com is a free service and it works great.
Tinyurl.com works really well for just posting an image but can be a bit tricky for posting clickable thumbnails. A clickable thumbnail has two links/URLs in it (one that is a direct link to the full sized pic and one that displays a thumbnail of the full sized pic in the forum post). You only need a tiny URL for the thumbnail pic link (the part that is in between the IMG tags) and then edit your forum post accordingly.
Amptrooper is on top of this situation and will let us all know when any changes to it occur. Anywho, I hope that helps.
