Sorry mate, The Solo’s Hold V2 is going to be the best anticipated saber of the year. 😁

How would you go about building a real V2 prop? A Rolls Royce balance pipe, an a bunch of other rare parts. Including a vintage Graflex flash. That would be an Obi ANH or Luke Graflex. Not a V2.

Yeah. Not to mention the RR balance pipe is borderline impossible to find and insanely expensive

I wasn't even going to go into the specifics of how Jediseth 's plan was nothing like the original. And far be it from me to intervene in his plans of building a "real V2". I say get-er dun if that's what he wants to do. But let's get back on track here. As stated before, this will be as accurate as we can possibly make it and still be functional for a FX build. Rotating emitter and all. It's going to be just like the REAL V2. So, I'm not certain you're going to be able to actually get anything closer. One option would be to source the vintage used part, cone knob, clamp card, mystery chunk exc. Good luck with those, but it would be epic fun to do.

Are we looking at a 7/8" or 1" blade for this beauty?

Don't know if this falls under "Classified" info but will the updated accurate hole in the emitter also serve as the new blade retention method or will it be like the first run V2? Would definitely be easier to have a more simple method.
I mean I'm in either way. You could use bubble gum for blade retention for all I care. Just make sure it's Bubblicious. Or Big League Chew.

In my experience the method we used for the original V2 worked out excellent. What issues did you have? Maybe I can help. But no, we went with the two set screws method that's used on the original prop. We had no idea these existed during our Gen1 V2. Bubblicious definitely. Grape if possible. Watermelon if not.

For Neo installs you are going to do some small mods to the heatsink (obviously) like lathe/grind down the wall of the led module so the blade can sit flush with the connector.

I thought SH said it was going to likely be 7/8" earlier in the thread. As to LED module thing, is it not going to be a sleeved heatsink like PP/Roman hilts? I thought from the pics it looked like it was. I might be mixing up my hilts tho. 😂 So trim the outside of the LED module to fit inside the blade tube? (Hence making an inner sleeve...?)

Oh no issues at all, Shane! I'm just lazy lol. One less step to put a blade on For the sake of retaining screen accuracy (or what was believed to be at the time), it was a brilliant solution. In fact if you guys ever do a Hero, I would imagine that would have to be the way to go again. When I said easier, I should have said more convenient. That would have been a better word to use. Not that it was inconvenient really. But I guess the one minor and I mean very minor almost not worth mentioning downside was you had to have a dedicated V2 blade with the compression socket. Not a big deal with an inexpensive "empty" blade. But now with a more expensive Neopixel blade, it's nice you wouldn't have to dedicate it to only one hilt. Not that I would mind at all dedicating a Neopixel blade to your V2. But it's nice to know nonetheless

1” now...really? Is that a 100% locked in blade size determination?
Kicked in the butt yet AGAIN for trying to get stuff early and when available; 7/8” VV neopixel blade specifically for my V2. Might be selling this off if the 1” is it. Bummer...for the extra blade I now have and for 1”, that’s too thick IMHO.

If it bothers you that much, one possible solution is an aluminum 1" to 7/8" adapter (made to whatever height is needed to blend in with the rest of the blade holder of course). It's super easy for those with a lathe to make it would be pretty cheap. Just a thought.

We do 7/8 to 1 inch adapters all the time. However that won't work with this saber I am afraid.
I am sorry to be the barer of that news.

Seems Aaron just confirmed the 1” blade so yes I most likely have an extra 7/8” VV neopixel blade that don’t need. Feel free to shoot me a PM if interested; wink wink.

Pre Orders are now Closed, any very limited over run over the pre orders( very limited) will be at Production Pricing. We left the pre-orders open for several months to give anyone an opportunity to join the 1 time run. ( there will not be another)
Only the handful of guys that early adopted( pre ordered ) will get the Fx Vented secondary pommel also included with their sabers GRATIS ( this was the add on bonus for pre orders)
Once again, we apologize for the secrecy of the show and tell, there really is no explanation needed unless you just joined the hobby in the last couple months.
More to come, waiting to hear back from the Nickle/chrome platers on some small parts.
There will be Accurate greeblies also available al la carte on the website soon for those of you who want to update any existing V2 you have with more accurate pieces.
Notice: We will be closed from the 20th of March to April 1st or 2nd. It is our childrens spring break, and immediate family wedding.
Thank you , Solo and family

I just placed my order for the gen 2. So stoked! I haven't bought a saber in over a year and half, but knowing NerfworXlab's work from owning the gen 1, I know this hilt will be special. This will be the closest thing to owning the real V2 prop.

I be getting the FX vented pommel too. 😝 I was on the same boat. I missed pre-orders by a couple of days but went ahead and pulled the trigger on the full production cost. I'd figure it will be well worth it to own the most accurate V2. Not to mention how Aaron stated this will be a very limited run, I didn't want to have the horrible feeling of FOMO once people started posting their hilts coming in the mail. I have full trust in NerfworXlab that they will deliver the best and most accurate V2 on the market. I can't wait to see people's weathering techniques especially Halliwax's weathering on the gen2.
