I was on the same boat. I missed pre-orders by a couple of days but went ahead and pulled the trigger on the full production cost. I'd figure it will be well worth it to own the most accurate V2. Not to mention how Aaron stated this will be a very limited run, I didn't want to have the horrible feeling of FOMO once people started posting their hilts coming in the mail. I have full trust in NerfworXlab that they will deliver the best and most accurate V2 on the market. I can't wait to see people's weathering techniques especially Halliwax's weathering on the gen2. Trooper Tent is already planning to do stencils for it too... it's gonna be suweeeeeeet... (sorry fourzze 😝) Think you can still maybe get one at production though? I could probably get one at production cost after megacon but I still miss out on the vented pommel which was a big reason to get it. As far as having 7 months goes.... I've been broke for 10 so yeah....

Hey Solo's Hold, can we get an update? The Corran horns and all make me wonder how this project is coming. We haven't seen anything on this for a while. Pretty please can we get another update? 😁

Hey have this posted on the website: hadn’t seen it in the thread here. Looks to be the full pommel for sound venting (almost $70.00) I like the direction they took for it. Less conspicuous IMO

Less conspicuous IMO are they selling the individual pieces before the run is finished? Also that pommel would look kinda neat with a pommel accent LED... if I ever figure out how that is done in a convenient way...

http://instagr.am/p/BwM33gqAKb5 So much for saving some revelations. It's ok, there is more good news on the horizon. Please bear with us, I am only one guy here on my end. We are doing this saber one last time, and this is it. Our fear was giving our research away for people to " BORROW" , but I guess that day is gonna come regardless.

that's a purrty grenade, Solo's Hold! Do we have any refinement on sense of timing or estimate on when these beauties will be rolling off the line to us?

We are not setting a target date, it creates to much false expectation, and they require the time they need. I have hired a plating company to do the lever parts finish, so there is a lot that no one sees that comes into play.
Getting it right is the most important objective, and honestly that is what is paramount. It won't be long, the Corran project has been going on a long time, easily 18 months, and that is a really complicated saber. Setting up to do things and maintain a realistic schedule is always a challenge.
Keep in mind, work on the new variants of the graflex bladeholders was a project that was in reality something we worked on well over a year, its a marathon not a race.
I appreciate everyones support and patience. This stuff is all truly a global effort with team being in 4 locations around the world. I would much prefer to do it right, then fast and not give them the attention they deserve. You guys deserve our best efforts, and we are constantly trying to push what we do to a new level.

Just wasn't sure if we were looking at 6 months or 2 years... 🤷🏻♂️ Either is fine with me to have the absolute perfect V2... just was wondering, but I understand not committing or even hinting at a timeline. 😋

2 years, uh no sir. Progress is coming along, I am just saying that while it seems to be stagnant, its far from that with all the stuff we have been doing to contribute to several replicas. Having said that, we spend on average a year in a project ( most times well before it becomes a public thing from a design/ research aspect). We tend focus on the core of the hobby being people who want something not done before. I think we have accomplished some innovations along the way, are we perfect?- no one is. Going back years we have seen things change, there are new soundboards coming into it, and the chassis designs to incorporate as many solutions for DIY builders is something we want to do to have it be more then just making a barebones empty. Designing/incorporating solutions that are available puts into another tier of the DIY spirit. Believe me when I say, that I wake up every morning and you guys on the project/s are always on my mind. I try to answer peoples correspondence in a timely manner, then right on down to cleaning up the floors, taking my kids to school, or solving the other problems of daily life like everyone else.
We all want to do something new, and better then the last time as we ad more tools/learned techniques to our arsenals. None of this would be possible without our ability to come together, and collaborate with each other on these projects. This project is only possible because you guys believe in us to do it, and we have no intention of letting you guys down.
I have included parts that were never part of the initial breakdown because we wanted to be scalable for both static and Fx builders. It added some stuff to the to-do list, but it was a forgone conclusion that I had to. I didn't want to break up the accurate pommel into multiple pieces to do it, so I added an entirely separate pommel to be included for the early adopters.
I hope I was able to shed some light, and answer some questions. -solo

You have to admit, this run was announced and all of a sudden I couldn't go the store and grab a pack of smokes without running into nine guys doing a V2 run. Now you're going to see a million people kicking themselves for jumping the gun. Others may have gotten close but they've got nothing on this one. I mean, come on, Scott got to do an up close, personal inspection. He got to see stuff none of us even knew about. Yeah, it might be little, meaningless stuff to some but to those of us that care, it's everything. Put it this way, I'll have one in my collection.

So usually the NerfworX guys take on projects that haven't been done or haven't been done great. They've already made the V2 and it was the best V2 so far (and I think still is ). The fact that they're revisiting it again despite how good it already was shows you the perfection they strive for. At first I was hesitant to jump on this run since I have a SH V2 and I'm more than happy with it. But finding out that Scott got to hold the actual prop, the gen 2 is going to be the closest thing we get to the real deal and I just can't pass that up. Now the question is what to do with my gen 1. V2 to Yuma maybe🤔?

I feel I chose wisely... 😏

Hey guys, I'm obviously pretty late to the party and trying to quickly play catchup. I definitely want to grab one of these beauties while they're still available, though I understand I've missed the initial pre-order and will need to purchase one from the production run via the website. However I'm not exactly sure on all the extra little bits I need to get to complete the build so any help on confirming what I need to get would be very much appreciated. So I've already added the saber and extra FX pommel to my cart on Solo's Hold. There wasn't anything else I needed to add here before checking out? The below are the extra parts that I understand so far I need to source additionally? 1. Roman props clamp (which finish for accuracy?): romanprops.com/product-category/parts/clamps/2. Roman props V2 lever (though I think this is included with the saber?): romanprops.com/product/v2-lever/3. Slothfurnace clamp card with silver solder traces (would the vintage option be better for this build?): www.slothfurnace.com/4. Mystery chunk and cone shaped knurled retaining nut (wasn't sure if both of these are included with the saber or need to be purchased separately from Solo's Hold at a later date?) 5. Troopertrent stencil set: therebelarmory.com/thread/5944I think that's everything? Edit: Just placed the order for the saber and extra pommel. I think I read correctly that there were limited spots left on the production run so I really didn't want to wait any longer and potentially miss out!

Satin finish clamp for the V2 Lever is included with the solos hold (no additional purchase necessary)
I would absolutely get the vintage finish card from sloth.
Cone and chunk are also included (no addtl. Purchase necessary)
