Satin finish clamp for the V2 Lever is included with the solos hold (no additional purchase necessary) I would absolutely get the vintage finish card from sloth. Cone and chunk are also included (no addtl. Purchase necessary) Thanks brrogers for confirming all that for me and Forcellama / SH about the SH clamp card

On our cards, you sand the black part down on emery cloth or sandpaper to reveal the tan pcb material ( it only appears dark until the thin black layer is removed where our logo is printed), we do this to ensure a nice firm fit in the clamp.

So I'm just curious at this stage as to how close the new V2 hilt will actually look to the original prop once it's completed and ready to be posted? I'm not talking about physical accuracy as that's a given for this run (although, will the emitter ring be banged up and any other physical damage like on the prop?), but the overall finish on all the various components? I understand that the weathering stencil needs to be sourced additionally from Troopertrent and so those relevant parts will obviously be clean but what about the grenade section? Will this be anodised or painted in the valleys with some mild weathering already applied? I expect we will be left to apply our own significant weathering along with stuff like the black gaffer tape but will the copper coloured part of the neck be pre-painted this colour? Sorry if this is already covered elsewhere, I did try to have a good look around but could only find a number of photos on the facebook and twitter feeds of components after being freshly machined. I guess I'm just trying to figure out exactly what I am getting and how much will be left to do in order for it to look like the below original prop (taken from Seth's Lightsaber Guide)?

Most NWL hilt runs are unweathered/unfinished kits (unless stated othwrwise). This, like previous iterations, will most likely be machine finished for people to apply their own weathering and finishes.

Thanks guys for the confirmation. What does "NWL" stand for though? This will be the first run of it's type that I've been involved with then, I've only been in one other run which was the PP7C Ultimate Hero which was finished anyway apart from some minor assembly and all my other sabers (MK1 weathered FX kit, converted Flashguns 4 and 5, converted MPPs SSB and BSB, DV6) have mostly already been finished aesthetic wise upon receiving them, so this one is definitely a new experience for me. When I jumped on board this run I imagined getting something close to what the prop already looks like, so it is a bit of a surprise finding out I'll need to finish it myself. Will no doubt be an interesting challenge though. I plan to do the FX installs myself on all my other hilts (as a complete newb) so this one will be additionally fun

They collectively designed the first run V2 and since then have done a number of other prop runs together. These guys are the best in this hobby and the ONLY ones I would trust to buy into their runs prototype unseen. The last V2, like this one, is a DIY kit. Don't worry though. The toughest part will be painting the hilt but thanks to Trooper Trent's stencil, even novice painters like me can do it . The rest is assembly like you mentioned. Only thing I'm not sure about is if they're going to bend the emitter into replica shape or if we'll have to do that. I asked Aaron(Solo) about this a while back just in case I wanted to opt for a flat idealized emitter and I believe they're not going to. Don't quote me on that though. Plans may have changed.

NWL stands for Nerfworxlab, which is Solo's hold, Crucible Custom Props, Goth3Designs, and myself. nerfworxlab.com/Basically we formed the group after working on several projects together that led to us being friends. The V2 needs to be painted, but in order to do it right, stenciled first in order to match what you seen on screen , it's a painstaking process but it's the most accurate and best looking way to do it imo.

Ah ok, thank you both for clearing that up for me. I had a basic understanding already of Nerfworxlab but simply hadn't made the link to the NWL acronym sorry. Thank you both also for the additional info on the V2. I definitely plan to use the stencil and have some fun learning how to weather (probably on some other pieces of ally first )

The emitter will be flat, or how should I put it. It will be exactly as the original was before it suffered damage from all the use over the years on set. As far as the emitter denting, I have bent several for builds that I have done for people, including my own. It's not very difficult at all, just don't use anything metal.

Trondo mcdondo reporting for duty. Me and Grimace are going to hit the Playland and try to intercept Hamburgler on the slide. For anyone who doesn't get the McDonald's reference from 30+ years ago, it is an American thing here .

@solos hold Is that a threaded connection? Wondering if modification is needed for some V2s in anticipation of replacement.
If so, and willing to reveal: what threading. Thanks
