I think it's time for an update.
You guys have been very patient and we can't thank you enough for that. A little explanation on why things have taken this long, other then the usual "we are so busy and doing lots of things". The truth is that as we went back and forth on designs, Ryo and I have noticed that a lot of what we see is an echo of things we've already done. In our quest to do something different for this particular venture we didn't seem to be taking things to where we wanted them to be, it seemed like it was time for another collaboration. Enter Harp. Not only am I a huge fan of his work but he's also a super positive guy who's high energy comes through every time we message. He also loves to push his designs, and clearly has a passion for Star Wars. It seemed like a no-brainer! Long story short, he's been on board for some time now and We're all pretty excited to have him working with us. We've got a few other things baking in the think tank, but that is something for another time.
The Prototype chassis for this run will be machined by Harp and then sent to Aaron for the file work and production. Materials will change somewhat to some exotics such as titanium, with brass, copper, steel parts as well. It will be all metal. Ryo and I have been engineering the electronics solution and agree that a 3.7V hacked CF solution is what we would want. It allows us to keep high run times, the crystal chamber large and detail, and able to use a USB recharge interface. Very nifty for people wanting to charge their sabers via portable battery packs when on the go at Cons or trooping events. Ryo prototype the working version ages ago, but it wasn't until now that it seemed time to use it. Magnetic adapters as the usb interface is what we will go with. Caz showed me one in action last weekend and it worked flawlessly. We will also be engineering that as the RICE interface too to make the chassis as elegant as possible.
Video for attention. These are not OUR Graflex chassis, but one of Harp's latest creations. Harp's told me he has something special in mind for ours, and I don't doubt him one bit. So what do you guys think? This information is, like, 4 birthdays at once.

Looks awesome! I've been a huge fan of his designs since stumbling across his work a while back.
I'm curious how feasible it would be to crank these out with such fine detail. Especially with ~75 and counting, interested buyers... Is there going to be a mixture of 3D metal prints and machine tooled parts? Or is there a different method to handle producing and assembling the large quantities?
Looking forward to the run.

Unless we need the usb tray, or board tray printed so we can stack the pieces which I'm not sure would be possible to CNC. But those parts will be plastic and hidden, and we can't make them out of metal for obvious reasons since they will be holding the electronic components. The whole team will be on board for the builds, not just 1 or two of us.

First post updated! Exciting news isn't it? Not only it brings our international collaboration to a next level with Japan entering the team but harp really makes the best internals!! it's going to be something to behold! And so, as mentioned above, we're working in parallel on the chassis (harp / Solo's Hold ) and the electronics solution (Darth Ryô , Obi-Shane , scottjua ). For instance, are perfecting the electronics side to get the easiest recharge system possible in a saber (and combining it with RICE as shown in our demo a while ago makes it really cool).
Now, another update we'd like to bring you guys. You all saw Plecter Labs recently released new versions of NB and Prizm. So it's really not too much thinking that we can anticipate a new Crystal Focus coming out in the future. The last thing we want is to have a system ready that gets outdated as soon as it releases. SO, since we can already say that our solution will go with the upcoming Crystal Focus 9 (or whatever it will be called), so that we really have the top of the line
Cheers all, and I hope you're as excited as we are about the direction we're taking with this project!!

I'M SOOOOOO IN!!! I am working on snagging a vintage Graflex for send in, but if I don't have one when the run drops I'll definitely take a 1.A, dang, maybe both depending on price lol!!! Amazing work as always, but I think you guys have topped yourself, just to cool, love it!!

I've been thinking about building my own TGS version but now that HARP is on this I'm all the more tempted. It sounds like its going to be fantastic. I just hope the price is also fantastic lol. I know how much HARPs work goes for usually

I'm interested in either a 2A or 2B depending on how the TGS replica turns out.

Cheers all, and I hope you're as excited as we are about the direction we're taking with this project!! Damn it!!! Great news.. but I already had a V8 I bought that I was going to send with my vintage. At this point I might need to buy a replica to build a second saber from because I have a ton of parts that I'm either going to need to unload, or use somewhere else. lol

Any chance there will be a plecterpixel blade version for this run?

Knowing what we know, and that it will be using the SH Blade Adapter, probably not... But since the run is not live yet, they could potentially add them.
Just an FYI for Solo and the others. I'm going on vacation starting this weekend for about 2 and a half weeks and will likely not have internet access. If you start signups while I am gone, don't forget about me!!!

there is no chance of just getting the chassis and blade holder completed, and allowing the DIY'er to install it in their replica or vintage themselves?

Dear Nerworxlab team, regret my interest in lightsabers has vanished, I know these will be beautiful and collectors items when built doubly so now with Harp involved and this is only an expression of interest thread which I was at the time but now have different interests.

there is no chance of just getting the chassis and blade holder completed, and allowing the DIY'er to install it in their replica or vintage themselves? Not for this particular chassis I'm afraid. This is a project that the Nerfworxlab would to send out as complete units ready to go, and not empties with kit solution options which is all we have done up until this point. In that sense, it's a first for us and we are pretty excited about it. Well, except for the small TFU2 master elite run.

Any chance there will be a plecterpixel blade version for this run? It depends on the tech that is out when we are ready to get the ball rolling. And what people want of course, that's our main driving theme here with the people. What you guys want, and how do we make it happen.
