With the current emphasis being on Rebels sabers I was just curious to know if this could ever happen? KR are releasing theirs on May 4th but their runs are first come first serve and sell out in a matter of minutes. And it doesn't mean I wouldn't want a Nerfworx version anyway. I was gutted to find out I had missed the TCW Ahsoka set.
I'm not expecting a commitment. I appreciate that an interest thread would need to be created before commitment is given. More just hoping this puts it on your radar if it isn't already?

Don't fret. You haven't missed out just yet.
Just head over to the Solo's Hold website and pick up a set.
Or anything else you might need to get.
Otherwise you might have some regret.
So make like a jet and fly like Boba Fett!

Hahaha. Believe me I have been very tempted to grab a set of the Ahsoka TCW hilts from the website. But if you miss the pre-order then they go up quite a lot. $800+ import duty to the UK makes it out of reach. I understand they were cheaper during the run.

Hahaha. Believe me I have been very tempted to grab a set of the Ahsoka TCW hilts from the website. But if you miss the pre-order then they go up quite a lot. $800+ import duty to the UK makes it out of reach. I understand they were cheaper during the run. Yes they were around $100 less. |

If you're really wanting a set of the TCW SH Ahsokas I have a set that includes the ARKM blade plugs, CF8 chassis for the large and NB chassis for the small, as well as the battery for the small and a stand that I might be willing to sell only because I wont be able to get to this project for AWHILE!

It's very nice to be offered another set (I was offered some before from another member) so I'll say the same thing as I said to him. Right now I've got my primary dueling saber having a sound install, a totally unique commission order being built, and I've paid up for the Blind Knight. So a set of TCW Ahsokas is off the cards right now. Hence the reason I was enquiring about the chances of a SWR Ahsoka run because seeing how these runs go it lets you spread the cost.
But yeah, both sets of Ahsoka's sabers plus the Blind knight is my Unicorn collection complete. Yes there's other stuff I'll buy, but if I never got another saber that would be a dream collection along with my custom sabers.

God I would love Rebels done by the Nerfworx team I know right. However I have since discovered Darth Alice has made some and quote "might" do a future run. Being part of the same Alliance I'm guessing they wouldn't want to clash on the same build. Then I discovered VV are also doing a run in May. So the plan right now is to try to get a pair from KR on May 4th. Failing that try to get the VV ones. However if I succeed on either of those it doesn't mean I wouldn't still put my name down for a Darth Alice run should it ever happen. |

May be he can collaborate with Nerfworx. Yeah that's the potential run I was talking about. To be honest a Darth Alice set is pretty much the pinnacle as well so if the run happens I'll be pretty happy. |

I personally would love to see the Nerfworx team tackle these. The Darth Alice ones at $5600 were out of my price range at the time. I would've loved to have had them but some other things had to come first.
But still even if I'd had gotten those I'd buy ones machined by Aaron any day. Everything I've seen from Solos Hold is top notch. Accurate to size and every detail. I've yet to see a team of guys that can top them on thier hilts.
They have a lot going on but I hope they take this on in the future and it would be incredible if they'd do a true to form Kylo Ren.

I've been mulling this over more and well, I kind of want to do it. But we won't be doing another interest thread until we've got our current projects shipping.
Like everything else we do, we kind of make the stuff we ourselves want, and yeah, who doesn't want a cool curved set of hilts like the Ahsokas.

I would've killed to have a set by you Todd, I just had a bunch of hospital bills pile up and had a rod start knocking in my car. Been a bad start to the summer for me. I'm trying to keep from having to sell off some toys to finish paying for my new toys. One day I will have a bad Sabers Rule Saber from Darth Alice though, Its at the top of my list. I think you, Aaron and a handful of others are the best in the community and we are lucky to have guys like you all designing and making the stuff you do for us. |
