Hey saber friends! Thought I’d create a post for anyone who’s either new to the hobby or had questions regarding the new TCSS neopixel connectors.
Notes: 1. This is obviously not the only way to do this. I tried to keep it beginner friendly 2. This covers only the Prizm 5.1 Board but the actual connectors from TCSS should be the same 3. There are 3 spots (indicated by arrows) that you can put a 470 ohm resistor. You must choose 1. IF NOT CHOSEN, you must bridge the pads on the sound board and/or the blade side PCB board 4. The end user must also make sure that the config file is set for the number of pixels in the blade. 5. I used the stock wire from the pixel strips for inside the blade and 28awg in hilt w/o issue. Some may argue with this but it worked for me and I do not have excessive heat 6. For the blade I used a white blade with TCSS foam, Blade film quad wrap, and lightly sanded the blade with 400 grit. I have no corncob and I cannot see a line in the blade!! Worked better than I expected 7. HAVE FUN!!!!
