I think the guy in the vid may be suffering from wishful thinking as far as a trilogy based off of SWTOR being in the works but I actually hope he's right. I would love it.

If it's true that the creators of GOT are making a trilogy I'm in as they will want full control but, will Disney let them off the leash and make something that's not family friendly? Highly unlikely. But if they do it will make money and could see Rians 2nd and third films dumped if they release in the same year. |

I have to say I’m losing interest. Solo was ok for a side movie. Rogue IMHO was great. After TLJ mess I’m really afraid how 9 will end. There are things that can’t be unseen. 😕
I was hopeful we’d see Ewan reprise a young Obi but I’m concerned Disney will botch it up after seeing what they did to Luke and how they dropped the ball on Leila’s death.
Many fans have great ideas for the sagas. I’ve heard awesome ideas on this forum. Sadly, I think SW’s ship has sailed.

Luke Skywalker do you get a sense that SW is heading for the dreaded reboot? aka Rian Johnson trilogy! Because that's what I think they are preparing to do. It just makes no sense after the trash that was TLJ to let him have free reign over a new trilogy.

Honestly? Whatever Rian puts out I will not watch. I would need a lot of you guys here to give his work glowing reviews before I’d even consider watching anything he produced. And then I’d most likely wait and borrow someone’s DVD. I wouldn’t waste money at the theater. I can’t unsee what he did to Luke. JJ has some very limited options, a few of which could work and undo the mess of TLJ. We’re going into the final chapter of the Skywalker trilogy with none of the Legacy hero characters. Who thought that was a good idea. 🤨
JJ was handed a pile of Bantha Poodoo. I loved JJ directing LOST bar the final 20 mins. It was one of my all time favorite shows. I have high hopes he can untangle some of the harm done. We can only hope the The Last Edit comes through for us and cleans it further.
But that’s just my opinion. I respect that some actuallly like the new movies. I’m happy for them. I wish I liked them too.

Surely after TLJ Rian will get the boot. He was given an outline from George and JJ and threw them both away. His incoherent ramble has already negatively affected the sales of Solo too.

No, I got the reference, bomb, which is why I think it sounds dreadful lol. I meant I'm just wondering what her idea of SW on acid is (sorry. sometimes my posts aren't phrased so well). If she's imagining a got SW hybrid -lots of gratuitous violence and sex- well, no thanks. That's not SW. Just get away from the Skywalker saga and focus on bringing Old Republic stories to life. That I agree with. |

I wasn’t happy with the amount of swearing in Solo. I liked the more gritty Rogue feel but like you said. It’s not SW. GL created Star Wars for a young boy. I wasn’t crazy about my young boys hearing the language. It’s not necessary.

Although nobody expected dead pool to be so good doing exactly that, the critics said it's Marvel you can't do that, well they did amd it's great. |

I guess my issue is why mess with a good thing. SW is riding on the coat tails of the original generation. We now have kids and grand kids. There’s so much already that kids can’t watch. Why mess with what was good family entertainment. It was something The whole family could enjoy. There are plenty of adult oriented movies out there.
I know a big part of why my kids love SW so much. Me. They know how much it means to me and I’ve encouraged it. They love it. Toss out the first generation and a big chunk of the current gen goes with us. I’ve got many friends just like me. If they’re big SW fans, so are their kids.
It hate to see it slowly slip away.
The previews are worse. My kids had their eyes closed through much of it so they don’t get nightmares. There was one horror movie for TFA or TLJ that, if they’d seen it, they’d still be sleeeping in our room.

I hate how liberal they are getting with previews these days, heck even my wife and I close are eyes for some of these dark movies they are previewing. Those should be reserved for R-rated films only.
I personally hope Star Wars stays a fantasy movie and keeps out the language/gore to the point that they can be PG movies still, at most PG-13.
