This should be interesting, IF, they are actually going to. It'll kinda fell awkward Lando being there, but Luke, Leia, and especially Han Solo, not there. We shall see!

They’ve screwed themselves over by dropping the ball on Leias death. RL had most of it filmed already not knowing it. When carried died they kicked the can down the road instead of properly addressing it and making changes. They still killed of luke. They now have no legacy heros to end the story. In reality, they should have killed off han in episode 8 the. Luke or Leia if they really had to in E-9. But there’s really no reason to kill off all the old characters. It really amounts to the current generation saying old people aren’t important and are simply wasting resources. Kill off han and let luke and Leia blast off into the sunset.
My bet is on JJ bringing luke back from the Force. I’m guessing he went willfully kind of like Gandalf did with the Balok. Luke returns as Luke the grey Jedi. Hero. I could live with that arc.
We still need to get rid of Rose and the whole casino storyline though. My sons saw it on Netflix last week and wanted to watch it. My excuse was, I wanted to see some Graflex closeups. 🤪. I did notice the grips are back down flush with the end of the flash can unlike one of the scenes in TFA where there’s 1/4”-1/2” gap at the pommel end.
I’d forgotten Rose was crying and whining when Finn met her. I disliked the character even more. The acting was still overdone and her use of animation, like arm placement when making expressions in dramatic scenes was still awkward. Rose was even worse than I’d remembered. But I did notice one thing. I actually really liked her sister. This shows just how screwed up their casting department is. They should have switched both actors. Rose would have been killed off dropping the bombs and her sister would have lived on. Rose still may have been annoying but at least it would have been short lived.

Well, the main point of Poe's thread in TLJ seemed to be pretty clearly one from not ready to be a leader at the beginning to ready to be a leader at the end and lots of mirroring/contrasting of these, along with indicators that some time will have passed between XIII and IX (accounting for Leia's death between films, the implication of time passed at the end of TLJ with broom boy and friends playing out the story of Luke on Crait) - so would be surprised if we don't see General Dameron in IX. ...and I'd love to see an appearance from old Lando having had a good showing of young Lando in Solo |

I’ve said this multiple times before. Leia could be written out without being killed and our princess would live forever. Sadly, no one else seems to realise this and such respect and creativity is beyond the likes of JJ or the LF story group. They should have killed her when they spaced her. Abruptly and unexpectedly, like when Carrie died.

well, at least Chewie is still alive. I'm frankly surprised they didn't blow up R2 and 3PO. I keep hoping JJ can salvage the story line, maybe go back and answer some of the questions that were left after TFA, maybe one of them? Lando co-pilots the falcon with Chewie, hopefully no more perverted robots. Chewie eats the remaining porgs nesting in falcon with bbq sauce. Luke is prominent as a force ghost. I still have faith this can be salvaged. I think Disney got the message. To me, there is no way that Disney wants this thing going off the rails. I am sure behind closed doors that there has been some butt chewing going on.
I actually liked Solo, sans the perverted robot bit. I thought it was pretty good movie. I loved Rogue One. I liked TFA. The scenery in TLJ was awesome, but the story-line and character assassinations were disappointing to say the least. I liked Chewie, Yoda, and the throne room scene. Other than that, TLJ was very disappointing in the end. I rank it dead last.

If they can get the next flick somewhere in the middle here, I think they salvage my loyalty. They put it near the bottom of the list? Welp, we always have the original trilogy to reflect upon with good memories.

Everywhere you look everyone is talking about luke coming back as a Force Ghost. That’s was obvious and no surprise. I think a real surprise could be that he’s not dead. That, like Qui Gon, he’s found a way to go to the Force and return. Not die, but go into the Force. Kind of like Frodo sailing off. Maybe he comes back to take Leia with him.
They’ve got to have a much better sendoff for our legacy hero’s then just killing them off randomly. Han, I can see. It added to the story. Luke’s whole story was dumb and like Mark said, “not my Luke Skywalker.” JJ needs to make it good if there’s any hope of new SW media.

Really!?!? Rose. REALLY!!
So much for this movie having a chance. One of the biggest fan complaints. Even Lucas listened and drastically cut Jar Jar’s screen time. There is absolutely ZERO reason to bring Rose back other than KK sticking it to the fans. None. Her entire story arc was pointless.
