Wow. Nicely done.
Most epic lightsaber battle ever and in TFA and TLJ we get kids swinging Sabers like Babe Ruth.
You guys did an awesome job of capturing my favorite scene of the prequels and favorite saber battle ever.

Anakin spent over a decade being extensively trained in lightsaber combat and it was even longer with Obi-Wan, so that experience shows in their duel. I mean, what do you expect in TFA and TLJ when one of those "kids" is not even completely trained and the other only had experience with a staff? Even then, let's not forget about Luke "swing and pray I hit something" Skywalker from the OT.  He wasn't the most eloquent or well-trained dueler either because of a lack of proper saber training. |

Oh I didn’t expect anything from Rey or Finn. But Luke’s screen time was completely wasted milking and catching fish. They could have done better.
Back to the OP. Do we get a sequel. 😁

Very cool guys! Anakin is so aggressive in his technique in the scene. Obi always on the defensive waiting for an opening. You captured that well.

Thanks everyone! Yea we want to reshoot with a better camera anakin costume and just attack it a little more aggressively now that we know it. What would you guys think of seeing this fight with a red saber ?

I'm gonna be so hated. Here goes.
To start off, you guys did great recreating the Anakin/Obi Fight from Episode III. Seriously, as far as recreating that fight, you guys are awesome.
The thing is IMHO, Nick Gillard, the person who choreographed that fight, is a complete hack who has no clue what he is doing and that particular fight is choreographed so badly that I hate it like a Sith hates well, everything. For one thing, IMHO the moves in that fight (IN EPISODE III ITSELF) don't look at all natural and how swordplay should look (to me). The movements that Ewan and Haydan did in that fight just look weird. For another, many times throughout that fight (IN EPISODE III ITSELF), the person on the offensive is retreating and the person on the defensive is the one advancing. What? Really Nick? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and completely ruins that fight for me. Watch the Episode III fight again and look for it. Once seen it can't be unseen.
So again, you guys did great... I just really hate the particular fight scene you chose to emulate.

I wasn’t paying attention to which duel you were doing and mistook it for Maul and QGJ, which is my favorite duel. This one would be a close second. Nicely done either way. We’ll see you in the finals next week.

Also, you should do the Obi vs. Maul TPM fight. One of you will need some acrobatics for that one though. Maul does a nice b-twist at one point after he gets his staff chopped by Obi.  |
